Two kilometers west of Beijing Badaling Great Wall is the Badaling Ski Resort, which features for its short distance from Beijing and the beautiful surrounding snowy scenery in winter.

Located only two kilometers west of Badaling Great Wall, Beijing Badaling Ski Resort is the first choice if you need a ski resort within an hour’s driving distance from Beijing that has interesting scenic sites. According to Beijing’s climate, the resort is usually opens from late November to early march when the outdoor temperatures drop to below 5°C (41°F).

Covering an area of 3,000,000 square meters, Badaling Ski Resort has two 800-meter-long junior slides, two 600-meter-long senior slides and an 800-merter-long expert slide which has a slope of 120 meters. The 2,300-meter-long snow roadway for motorcycles is the longest one of its kind in Beijing.

In addition, the resort also offer other entertainment like Sleigh drawn by dogs, Bungee, Snow sauna, Self-help ice sculpture, crossing the glacial lake, and crossing glaciers on foot. The restaurants in the resort offer food in Beijing flavor, hot drinks, hot pot, Mala Tang and so on. Visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy a spa as there is hot springs within the area.
