Huangshan Travel Guide

The predecessor of Huangshan City is Huizhou, known as Xin'an in ancient China. Located in southernmost part of Anhui Province, it is a newly-rising tourist city named after Mt. Huangshan (Yellow Mountains), consisting of the Mt. Huangshan Scenic Area, three districts, and four counties. Covering an area of 9,807 square kilometers, Huangshan City has a total population of 1.36 million.

Speaking of Huangshan, the first thing that comes to your mind must be the world-famous Yellow Mountains. As a saying goes, “There is no reason to visit any other mountain after seeing Huangshan Mountain”. The marvelous Yellow Mountains amaze many visitors from home and abroad with its ancient wondrous pines, unique rock formations, the sea of clouds and hot springs.

Huangshan Food

Huangshan is the birthplace of Hui culture, so Huangshan food belongs to Hui Cuisine, which is famous known as one of eight main cuisines in China. Anhui Cuisine devotes particular care to raw materials and duration and degree of heating, making the color, aroma and taste of dishes are all excellent and attractive.
