Four Seasons in Guangzhou
Spring - Spring here is very warm and very nice to go outside taking a breath of fresh air. Canton Fair is held here every year from April to May. Sweaters and light clothes are recommended.
Summer - Weather here in summer is a hot, long and humid with occasional typhoons. The hottest months in Guangzhou are July and August when the temperature often up to 39.1 ºC (102.38°F). An umbrella is necessary while there are frequent afternoon thunderstorms.
Fall - Temperature in autumn is very moderate, cool and windy. The best time to Guangzhou is from October to December. Outdoor activities such as visiting Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, shopping Xiguan Antique Street and tasting local snacks in Beijing Road are recommended.
Winter - Guangzhou's winter is cool, dry and short. Long trousers, a sweater is enough, while some times a coat and jacket are also necessary. Spending your time in Guangzhou during that time can place yourself in a flower sea.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Guangzhou is between October and November, avoiding the scorching summer and rainy summer. Walking through the streets under the warm sunshine with a sight feast of colorful flowers is an impressive wonderful experience. But if you want to do some water sports, summer will be the best choice when sun block is required.
