Luoyang Transportation

Luoyang located where the Jiaoliu (north-south) and Longhai (east-west) railway joints, so it’s easy to go to other cities from Luoyang by train. City bus is convenient for in-city transportation and some of them will take you to some attractions.
 

Luoyang has a large number of taxis which are more convenient and comfortable than buses. The flag-fall rate of taxis is 5RMB and additional fee beyond two kilometers (about one mile) is charged from 1.3RMB to 1.5RMB per kilometer. Taking taxies in the urban area, 20RMB is enough to touring the whole city. If you want to take a taxi to suburban areas of the city, you can bargain with the driver before you get in the taxi.

Luoyang Airport (IATA: LYA) is located about 10 km north of the city center. Flights are available from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and so on. As Luoyang is not far away from Zhengzhou, it is also a choice to get Luoyang from Zhengzhou Xingzheng Airport. The public buses to the downtown area costs 1RMB and 30RMB for taxis.

 Long-Distance Bus

Luoyang Long Distance Bus Station is located at Jing Gu Yuan just diagonally opposite the railway station. There are long-distance buses from Luoyang to Zhengzhou, Jiaozuo, Kaifeng, Ruzhou, Xuchang, Sanmenxia, as well as farther cities like Shijiazhuang, Baoding, even Beijing.
 

 City Bus

In front of the gate of the railway station, there are tour buses to some attractions like Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple, Shaolin Temple. The departure time is 7am.

Luoyang Railway Station is situated at West Daonan Road in the north suburb of Luoyang. There are dozens of trains connecting cities everywhere like Zhengzhou, Xi’an, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other major cities in china. City bus 2, 5, 6, 10, 11, 48, 50 can reach here.
