Owing to subtropical highland climate (Koppen Cwb), Lijiang is normally mild, with abundant rainfall and plenty of sunshine. It has an average annual temperature between 13°C (55°F) and 20°C (68°F), without too much change from spring to winter. Four Seasons in Lijiang

Spring - Spring lasts from March to early June and begins relatively dry and sunny, but conditions progressively get moister and more overcast.

Summer - Summers are warm and damp, with June and July means of 19 °C (66.2 °F).

Lijiang allows visitors to get there at any time. However, summer and autumn are the most favorable seasons, considering the fairly wide variation in day-and-night temperature in spring and winter. The wet season spans May to October, with plenty of rainfall. From November to April belongs to the dry season. Additionally, because of its high average elevation, Lijiang has abundant sunshine all year round, favored with fresh air and charming natural scenery.
