Lhasa Restaurant

Restaurants in Lhasa are mainly located in Lhasa old district near the Jokhang Temple along Beijing Zhong Lu and Barkhor Street. Lhasa is not large but the restaurants here offer Tibetan, Sichuan cuisine, Western food as well as Nepali and Indian food. Most tourist restaurants serve delicacies and almost every hotel near Beijing Road has western food.

Makye Ame on the southeastern corner of Barkhor Street is a well-known Tibetan restaurant among western travelers. Snow-Deity Palace is a great place to enjoy authentic Tibetan Food. Snowland Restaurant near Jokhang Square offers a mix of Western, Napali, Indian and Tibetan food. Crazy Yak Saloon on Beijing East Road also offers great Tibetan food and is reputed for Tibetan song and dance show. North America Fast Food on the same road is a professional west food restaurant serves hamburgers, hotdogs and soups. Other restaurants popular among travelers include Tengyelink Café, Holy Land Vegetarian Restaurant and Lhasa Kitchen.
