The main lines in the Holiday Zone are joined with the Highway surrounding the island from Haikou to Sanya, adjacent to the Yuling Habour of Sanya City in the west and about 45 kilometers away from the Pheonex Airport of Sanya.

The journey time from Sanya to Hong Kong, Macao, Taibei, Singapore, Bankok, Jakarta, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Canton and Shen Zhen, etc. is respectively all within 2 hours, and that to Japan is also a mere 4.5 hours. The transportation environment is rather superior.

The Yalong Bay Central Square

In the Yalong Bay Central Square stands a Totem Pole of 27 meters (88.6 feet), on which the God of Sun, and Gods of Wind, Rain, and Thunder as well as those legendary animals such as Dragon, Phoenix, Kylin and Fish are engraved. The design of this square embodies the Chinese civilization of 5,000 years.

The Butterfly Park

Butterfly Park is a spectacular natural garden which merge the popular science, butterflies exhibition and shopping into an organic whole. In the Butterfly Park, an open air flight cage will ensure that visitors are able to interact closely with butterflies. In the large-scale exhibition hall, there are over 2000 kinds of specimens of butterflies and insects on display.

The Sea Shell Museum

Sea Shell Museum, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters, is the first comprehensive sea shell museum in China, merging the shellfish and shell products display and shell products sale into an integral whole. It is unique and novel in design, elegant and natural in decoration.

    Sanya is often referred to as the land of eternal spring; a place where flowers remain in bloom throughout the year. Here the tropical climate blends with the clear, fresh air to create a vacationers paradise, regardless of the season! The average temperature in Sanya is 25C (about 77F), with temperatures typically climaxing in June (when they often reach 95F). The warm weather remains throughout the winter months.

    Sanya hosts a range of festivals each year. Perhaps the most interesting of these festivals is the Tianya Haijiao International Wedding Festival. This festival, held on July 7th of traditional Chinese calendar, is a huge, collective wedding celebration. Couples from around the world come to Sanya for the festival eager to say their vows together in this elaborate ceremony.

    The final round of the Miss World Competition was held in Sanya three times between 2003 and 2005. Additionally, the annual China's New Silk Road Model Look competition has been held in this beautiful city six times since 2001. It is reported that in 2006, 18 international events will be held successively in Sanya, including the Tianya Haijiao International Wedding Festival, China's New Silk Road Model Look, World's Strongest Man, Sanya International Concert, and TCL Classic Tournament 2005.
