Waterfall Terraces in Forests
At the foot of the waterfall, the terraces overlap, running along the watercourse where tourists may appreciate the Red Willow Lake, Wolong Dragon Beach, Toad Palace, Green Willow Beach, as well as too many other things to see.
Jianyu (Pretty Jade) Platform
Located at the foot of the Zhaga Waterfall, it is a circular stone platform. Waters are dropping from a high wall, splashing like a beautiful brilliant jade.
According to researchers, its water contains low calcium, but high carbon acid and strontium and zinc that are trace elements good for health; the water quality for drinking is not only up to the state regulations, but also of high medical values.
Erdaohai, (meaning two lakes in English), is located at the end of Mounigou, which is separated from Zhaga waterfall by a mountain. It derived its name from 2 local lakes, Dahaizi and Xiaohaizi.
Erdaohai scenic spot is, actually, a long narrow valley about 5 kilometers running through by a wooden plank road. While walking into it, you can see a series of lakes one after another with crystal clear water. Wild flowers and the green branches are reflected on the lake surface, it just looks like an oily painting. At the deepest end of Erdaihai lies a hot spring with the legend that fairies from the heaven once bathed here. The temperature of its water is about 25 with a strong smell of sulfur. People are always seen bathing here in order to cure or prevent skin disease.
Swan Lake
It is frequently visited by mallards hence the name "Swan Lake". On lake banks are visiting giant pandas, gnues, mountain donkeys, elks, and bharals other wildlife. The lake water looks navy blue, like a charming crystal.
Erdao Lake
Located at the center and the largest in, the Scenic Spot, it covers an area of 6,800m2. As many grottos are distributed on the lake banks, the lake water in fact connects with that of other lakes. The water surface being a mirror image, its bottom water runs gushing, with lake color changing in different seasons, well matching the colorful travertine rock strata on the lake banks.
Pearl Lake
Also called the Pearl Boiling Lake, it covers an area of 40m2, and is located the farthest in the Erdao Lake scenic sight. The lake is so named as spring mouths giving up chains of pearl-like water bubbles. It is said that, when the Huanglong Immortal lived in the Erdao Lake before leaving for Huanglong, he created a disease-exorcising pond in here for Nine Fairies. With a high water temperature, the lake smells sulfur and keeps at about 20C(68F)even in frozen winter. Near the spring is a withered pine tree on which hang prayer banners. Every summer, people coming from nearby villages will take a bath in the water, believing it will remove their diseases. Anyone taking a bath in the water will smell fragrant, the reason of which is not yet known.
Rhinoceros Nostrils
Two holes each as large as a bowel, lie on a small travertine dike and look especially like the rhinoceros nostrils. The holes are apart from each other with a distance of a few inches, in fact are two clear water pools where pearl-like water drops jumping out at the interval of several seconds, splendid in reflecting the sun. Visitors always stop by and look at this natural wonder, and young people would have a "trial" of their luck. They put both hands in the "nostrils" and see if their hands can meet. If they do, that means they will have a happy married life - the prediction seems always accurate. Thus, there is often hearty laughter like comic shows.
